An incredibly powerful and dynamic word, in the English language!
It speaks of fortitude; hopefullness; perserverance: boldness in adversity; determination; joy. Characteristics that takes time and patience to cultivate, and to grow and mature into!
BACKSTORY: This composition has been on RAYEWALTERmusic's 'playe'list for at least ten years or so. It's original (working) title was "The Move of God (Move, oh Lord, in me)". I had actually considered it "settled 'law' ", so to speak! There was just the matter of lyrics; which would certainly come with time, prayer, and meditation - as usual.
But in late 2020, the idea of music video production led to me seeking out tunes/songs as potential subject matter. This composition came to mind, and was immediately put on my short list. It was at that point, the word "resilience" was expressedly 'impressed' on me, interesting enough. And as I began contemplating and sourcing video material, it became vividly clear to me that this word would be the actual "theme" for this video!
With "resilience" top-of-mind, my thoughts went immediately to what the world has been experiencing and living (and, unfortunately, dying) through, these last two years! Suddenly, the music, the theme, and the video concept & content, all verged into this one vision, for this project!
THE PROCESS: Sourcing the video material, and the entire mixing, mastering, and editing process has been such a true and gratifying "labor of love"! It has been so amazing and moving for me to see how all the different elements came together and neatly "fell into place"! It really felt like the original song title literally at work: "Move, oh Lord, in me!".
MY PRAYER: That this video be a source of inspiration and encouragement; regardless of the challenge being faced. That we can and will experience that we actually are stronger than we think! Looking to the future, if by no other means than through the hope-filled eyes of the children of our world!
